this morning, as i finished loading up the washing machine and then started on my massacre of an ant trail (windex is the closest thing to raid, and it smells better, too), i started thinking, i can't believe i'm getting paid so much, and yet i make so little. then, i started thinking of monday's meeting with chris.

I've felt the same way many times when seeing other friends who have decided to study different things than I, and have terrific jobs to show for it. However, financial security and a well-paying job rarely equate to happiness. Money is really just a comfort factor. You're young. You have a good job (albeit part-time) that makes it easy to live a fun life while you finish the last class of your degree. There is still plenty of time for you to get that job, and trust me, when comparing your personality and experience, you should have no problem rising through the ranks of whatever field you decide to go into. Hey now, it wasn't a pep talk. A pep talk is something you give someone just to make them feel better, or something a coach gives to the football team losing 60-0 to help rouse them. Think of it as more of my honest opinion in the face of your unjustified doubt and self-loathing! Audrey = #2. (#1 definitely goes to the Cookie Monster. Did you hear he's out of rehab?)
