I've read that swearing actually people helps deal with pain. There was a study where they'd have a group of people who were allowed to swear when subjected to sustained pain (science is fun :D) and a group who weren't allowed to swear. The ones who swore held out longer. So, basically, swearing is medicinal and totally ok in these contexts.

Chocolate is unambiguously wonderful in all contexts, however.

Yes. Chocolate is proof that the Great Cocoa God loves us and wants us to be happy.
