I love Portland. I also love school, but now that I'm a sophomore they actually expect me to do work! Music Theory and Aural Skills just might kill me this semester. At least my theater classes are super cool (aren't they always), and math is also an absolute joy.

The apartment rocks, but right now it's very dirty. Nina is visiting, William is working super long days, and I've been at auditions in the evenings. We will definitely need to do some cleaning before we have 3-4 people spend the night on Friday! My sister and her friends are going to an anime convention in Vancouver, and they're staying with us the first time because they can't stay at their friend's house for some reason. Don't get me wrong, I'm really excited to see Hannah, but her friends make her look like the most normal kid you've ever met (for those of you who haven't met her, she's very weird).

I also need to figure out to eat actual food. I've been eating a lot of shit lately, mostly because it's quick, cheap, and easy. I don't think my body would know what to do if I ate a fresh vegetable right now--this is almost a state of emergency.

My first day of work is tomorrow. We have to tear down the set left over from the summer's Hamlet, and attempt to get the shop into some sort of organized state. I am so excited! Strike is always a bitch if the set is tall (this one is) and well-built (ours usually are), but I love it anyway! I know the novelty of the scene shop will probably wear off eventually, but as of right now, I cannot wait to get my hands on the power tools and some paint on my clothes. I won't know what I'm doing when we actually start constructing things, but I'll figure that out eventually. I'm not in charge of that part, I just follow directions. But it will still be an adventure!
