I ain't dead...

Crikey, I haven't updated here in ages and perhaps it's time I did. Life is er... a bit challenging at the moment but will hopefully improve sometime before Christmas. (Can't believe I'm talking about *Christmas*, where has the year gone?)

Wittering on... )

I sure hope the ultra sound brings good news..I hate tests and waiting for results. we both know how that is! ALL surgeries scare me so I hope all goes well with your daughters back!
I am looking forward to a new season of who do you think you are and hopefully Downton Abbey. Right now I am enjoying Dancing w/ the Stars, Harry's Law (starring Kathy Bates),and a new show which will probably get cancelled because it's done so well called Terra Nova. ohhh, can you see American shows on Hulu??? That would be neat if you could!

We've now found out that her op will be at the private hospital in Exeter, not the NHS one. The surgeon operates in the private hospital on Weds. and often has spaces and J will take one of them... it looks like pretty soon, thank God.

Yeah tests. Hate them. And my shoulder is still giving me real gip like I said in my e.mail. I do not need another problem!!!

The 2nd season of Downton is excellent just like the first. Terra Nova I will watch out for. Definitely.

Oh my, that's a lot to happen in a few months. Best wishes for your daughter with the op, will keep my fingers crossed for her! I know firsthand how bad back pain can be, though in my case it is usually more nagging (compressed discs and stuff) than acute, except for one bad episode a while back. I hope that she does much better afterwards. Am also hoping that you get the stomach problem sorted out! I could be very wrong but having had a bad gallbladder as a kid (I swear I am not a hypochondriac claiming to have every illness under the sun ;) ), I seem to remember that it is not usually a dangerous illness as it can either be taken out without major ill effects, or if the problem is due to stones, they can be pulverised by laser in a relatively simple procedure. In any case, I hope that whatever it is, it can be easily treated. And it looks like your grandkids are doing great at school, best wishes for them ( ... )

Sorry for *this* late reply too. :-) And thanks ever so for your kind words and support. It's appreciated. I had my scan and no gallstones, so am very thankful for that. I think my problems are being caused by GERD and as I'm on a course of meds for it, that should be vastly improved this winter. What was really odd was that the radiographer could only find one kidney and suspected that I was probably born with just one. I had *no* clue.

You were here in the UK??? So pleased you enjoyed your visit but I'm very sad to have missed you. Oh, Tenby is lovely isn't it? We haven't been able to get to Wales in a while but have promised ourselves a week there when all this is behind us.

I will try to post a bit more regularly. :-)
