Cornwall in May

Jun 11, 2012 14:24

I remembered that I haven't posted my Cornish coast pics that I took when we were in Cornwall last month, so here goes. These were taken on my birthday in fact. It was a gorgeous day so we left the hotel in Camborne, fairly early, and headed towards the north coast. Godrevy lighthouse was our first stop.

Ooooh, lovely! Thank you for posting these! I love bluebells--really love them. Is that gorse in the picture of the opposite shoreline (just after the one of the Hell's Mouth)?

Yes, that's gorse. It was simply fabulous all over the place.

What a beautiful country! I actually don't mind living on the flatland, and we do have some scenic wonders in Michigan... but they're mostly far away from here. Except for our lovely Metro Parks, which any day now I expect the State to sell to developer friends of theirs for cents on the dollar, but that's another story...

Your pictures of Cornwall are superb. I've always wanted to visit the UK. Maybe I can motivate my husband to go see it all while we still can!

Thanks for sharing.

I realise Michigan is pretty big... as big as England, possibly, so can well understand how things can be too far away to get to regularly.

Glad you enjoyed the photos.

The photos are absolutely gorgeous. The beach and flowers and rocks are some of my favorite things. :)

These photos - I could travel at once to Cornwall again the way you are showing it ;-). Perfect pictures of the Cornish coast!

Oh, these are gorgeous - & didn't you have good weather, too?
I definitely know one pup who will love that beach! (I'll just have to check the dog restrictions before we go. *fc*)

We had wonderful weather that day (the day of my b/day) but it was nasty the next day so we were glad we made the most of the beautiful day.

Hopefully by the end of Oct. the dog restrictions should be eased. *Fc* for you and have a lovely time. We're off to Llanelli for a few days the week after next. Can't wait.

Yes, it looks like most beaches should be okay for dogs, thank goodness. Bud does love to run in & out of the sea - it's such a joy to enjoy it with him.

We're off to Chester for the weekend. C's running the marathon on Sunday, so we're making a little break of it. Then we're both running the Oxford Half Marathon the following Sunday, so we're having a weekend down there, too. It's all go this month! *g*

Hope you & P have a great time in Wales!

Love your icon. ;-) And so pleased for you about the beaches.

Good luck to C for Sunday, and to both of you for Oxford. Enjoy your weekends away. Love Chester!

Thank you, I'm sure we will.
