IC INFORMATION
Character Name; Midna Series/Fandom; Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Appearance; As an imp, Midna stands at the oh so impressive approximate height of two and a half feet tall, though she's hardly above floating around in order to meet someone's gaze. Her hair, pulled back into what can only be called a pony tail, is a vibrant orange with a tendency to appear a lighter yellow or darker red in varying degrees of light which only seems to make her look all the more unique. Midna's ears extend from her head as twin black points with blue symbols across them and seem to be an exaggerated mimicry of perhaps the ears of the Hylian race, while the one eye that remains visible on her face is a startling ruby color, yellow where the whites would be

Personality; In maybe the simplest way to say it, Midna's personality is multi-faceted. She has a tendency to feel one way and act another, or to change her mind seemingly on a whim, but if nothing else about her is constant then it is the fact that Midna is thoughtful. Her appointment to the position of Twilight princess is indicative of her level-headedness, a stark contrast to the other candidate for the position, Zant- passed over because of the lust for power and propensity for violence that the Twili had seen in him. This doesn't however, mean that she is exempt from the seemingly shared feelings of anger and contempt for the dwellers of the Light
( ... )
Despite the turn in her personality, she's unapologetic about the way she'd acted at first. As far as Midna was concerned, people needed to be able to prove their mettle- Light dwellers or otherwise, and this sort of attitude is pervasive. She can't be accused of being 'colorblind' as it were, to favor her own race, because when toe to toe with Zant- Midna is unflinchingly harsh. Whatever her opinion of him as a person may have been, she unabashedly tells him that he would have been a terrible king, that he was too selfish to have looked after the Twili. The degree to which she's willing to speak up for herself is only underlined by the fact that she tells him this when she is utterly at his mercy. Rather than swear allegiance to save her own life, Midna would rather die for the cause that she's already committed herself to. This sort of mouthiness is fully capable of taking a negative turn as well, as there are several times when Midna is shown to have something of a short temper- be it bristling, flaring up in anger, or inflicting
( ... )
Weaknesses; It's made clear from the beginning that the people of the world of light and those from the twilight are different, and when a native of one plane enters another, there are consequences. For Midna this means that she has very limited abilities outside of her home and is for the most part, always hiding in Link's shadow. Light as a whole seems fatal to the Twili, which spurs not only a general avoidance of it, but Midna herself was nearly killed by exposure to a Hylian light spirit

The pair of them did manage to collect the lost shadows, but after they'd found the third piece, they were surprised by Zant. Apparently the usurper had noticed their activities some time ago, and finally decided to take action. With Link dispatched, Zant took the shadow pieces from Midna and attempted to explain himself. He called her a traitor for her willingness to ally herself with the Light dwellers and criticized what he considered a silly attempt to overthrow him by using such old magic- but the worst of it came when he offered Midna a chance to fight with him. As the Twilight's true ruler, there was a power that remained uniquely hers and Zant asked that she join him, to lend him her power so that they might rule both realms. Even after it was made clear that Zant blatantly overpowered her, Midna still refused, and in response, Zant exposed her to the Light spirit Lanayru

Samples Third-person sample; While Midna knows she hasn't seen enough of the realm of Light to make any big decisions about it, she's come to the quiet conclusion that it's probably overrated. No, she hasn't seen it in it's 'full regalia' or anything, but the scenery looks more or less the same. Sort of. She stands by what she'd said in the beginning anyway, that Hyrule had looked beautiful with Twilight painted over it- though she refrains from reiterating the opinion. Arms stretch over her head and Midna lets out a lazy yawn, arches just once before she settles back down. Under normal circumstances she might have stretched her legs out, just for good measure, but when her gaze travels to the storm overhead, she thinks better of it
