» THE WORKS
This is a multifandom RPG. That means ALL series are allowed, not just anime and manga ones. However we do NOT allow "real" people (celebrities, actors, etc.) nor original characters.
» THREE STRIKES, YOUR OUT
We at Paradisim will be using a three strike warning system. You are allowed three warnings before you're booted from the game permanently. If you're caught harassing other players or stealing applications, however, you will be instantly banned.
» NO DRAMA
Please refrain from creating or participate in any kind of wank. Wank is not good and we'd like to avoid it if at all possible. Constructive criticism when there are problems and keeping a level head are important so we don't spiral into wanky madness. Also remember not to blur the IC and OOC line. Remember: We want to have happy pretend fun times, not relive high school.
» DON'T BE PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE
Please TALK to your fellow players and your moderators. This is so important. Communication between everyone is vital to keeping the game alive and healthy. Talking anonymously is all well and good, but please don't abuse it. Do not create sock puppets to harass other players and troll. That's just not a good thing to do.
» NO GODMODDING OR METAGAMING
Simple enough. If you don't know what those terms mean, look them up. Just remember to never do them. Ever.
» DO NOT PLAGIARIZE
For the love of all that is good, write your own applications. Don't take it from someone else or steal it from Wikipedia. We mods WILL find out if you do and you will be banned from the game forever. No exceptions. So just don't do it, okay? You're free to use Wikipedia and other applications for guides and references*, but don't copy/paste or copy and change a few words around. *If you choose to use other applications as a reference in writing your own, you must speak with the writer of that application before you use it, and if they request that you not use their application as a guide, you must respect that. You must provide links to any application you used as a guide as well; failure to do so will result in an immediate rejection of your application (and if we should find out about this after you've been accepted, the mods reserve the right to ban you or your character). -effective February 3, 2009
» STAY IN CHARACTER
We know everyone plays characters differently and such. However Sephiroth will NOT be BFFs with Cloud and skip through a field of flowers in a pink dress. Use your common sense with this one, huh? If the mods receive multiple complaints about your OOCness and feel themselves that you're too OOC, expect to be spoken to and given a warning.
» INTERACT WITH OTHERS
Part of the fun of a multifandom RPG is the interaction between different fandoms. So don't just stay within your fandom! Interact with everyone! If we notice excessive "Screened to" and "Private" entries that are within one fandom, you will be spoken to. It makes the game much more fun when you include everyone.
» BE ACTIVE
Don’t apply for characters and then never do anything with them or frequently take hiatuses. Make sure you have the time and the attention for this game. Otherwise, it’s annoying for the other players.
» UNDERSTAND THE GAME
Be familiar with the settings, the plot, NPCs that will appear, and how the game works. This game is crackish, serious and everything in between. Be prepared for anything.
» KEEP AN OPEN MIND
This RPG is friendly to all pairings. Yaoi, Yuri and Het are more than welcomed here. As such, this is not a rabid yaoi RPG nor is it an 'ew, gay love' RPG. We're open minded here, so you have to be too. Mature themes can and will appear, so if that isn’t your thing, you should probably turn back now. All explicit content MUST go under cuts and be f-locked, as well as properly labeled with a warning. If it doesn't have all of those things, it will be deleted. (We don’t want trouble with LJ.)
In addition, if you are posting excessive amounts of sex threads, you will receive a warning and will be expected to get more creative. They're okay every once in awhile, but if all you're posting and participating in are smut logs, we have a problem.
» KNOW YOUR LIMITS
The current character limit is FIVE CHARACTERS per player. A player may only have TWO CHARACTERS per fandom to avoid character hogging by one person. Do not apply two characters that often interact together in canon. (If you're unsure about that, just ask.) Please know your limits when applying characters. Just because you can apply five characters doesn’t mean you should.
» ACTIVITY CHECK
Characters are required to maintain a decent level of activity. Activity Checks will be held every month and will required any two of the following: journal entries, logs or a string of 15 comments of more in another character's journal (aka not in your character's journal). AC posts, when posted, will have all the information required for participating and passing them.
