I am with you. I read My Sister's Keeper and absolutely loved it and bespite how sad the ending was I loved it too. Then I watched the movie....how disappointing was it. First of all they left out Julia so you didnt really get to see the depth of Campbell's character and also the ending....the movie ending sucked big time. That movie was a waste of 2 hours of my life. A real disappointment from an awesome book.
Exactly!! I read somewhere that Jodi Picoult was involved in the movie-making process and that she was okay with the fact that the ending was changed, but I don't know how that could be so. I mean, that was HER creative work! And someone else, basically, came in and said that it wasn't good enough! Ohh I would have been livid had it been my book!
Then again, I don't suppose there's any real need for me to get so upset. I already know I'm not creative enough to come up with ANYTHING on Jodi Picoult's level. LOL.
Hey as a fan of the book you have every right to get upset that they made a crap movie out of it. I dont know how Jodi Picoult could be ok with what they did with her book, I'd too be so annoyed with the film-makers/screenplay writer.
I'm an aspiring writer and there is no way I'd let anyone do to my work what she let them do to hers. And I can assure you my work in no where near as good as hers lol
