Big Monday Update

What a fun weekend. I actually took all of Friday off instead of just the half day. It was nice to lay around a bit. Did some cleaning around the house and such which was nice. Nothing too eventful.

Saturday class went really well. I am really enjoying it. I was a little bored in Foundations since he was doing a high level overview of encryption. That's a little hard to sit through when you understand the math behind it already. We had another geeky lunch as a bunch of us went to get wraps at a local place and talked about breaking into windows ecrypted files. It's so embarassingly easy. I love people who password protect office files. It's like covering your eyes so that I can't see you.

Saturday night Ryan came down. YAY! He had hurt his hand so he wanted to take the train in rather than drive. But then he missed his train. I was supposed to pick him up at the station near my office so that he didn't have to go into downtown Boston and then back out to my place. So since he missed his train I directed him to my office (kind of halfway between us) and he parked in our lot and I drove us back to my place. We had steak for dinner and pregamed with the roomies who were going out for James' b-day. Ryan and I stayed in and watched Resident Evil 2. I asked him if I was a zombie if he'd shoot me in the head. A trick question if ever there was one. He told me he would if I tried to eat his brains. I of course gave him shit, but really like that he won't try to BS me. He stuck to logic. And I was of course being silly on purpose which caused a bit of a tickle fight. Then we went to bed ;-)

Sunday morning we talked a bit and then decided to go to brunch with the roomies. We went to this really cool place in JP. The wait was a little long, but it is everywhere on a Sunday. There was this cool little store next door that we got to play in while we waited. Turns out Ryan has an obsession with kitchen gadgets and office supplies. I told you he is perfect. So we window shopped for cool things that would go in an ideal kitchen. Kind of gross. Then he was telling me about how he can't be trusted in Staples. I nearly pee'd thinking of he and I being set loose on a Staples with Anne and Sam. The four of us would be ridiculous.

After a surprisingly short wait for a 9 person party we had breakfast. The food was awesome, cheap and huge portions. Ryan ordered this really cool pancake breakfast which a heaping mound of fruit and whipped cream on it. I of course stole a bunch of it. But he stole my homefries so it was ok. Jess wound up spitting whipped cream across the table at one point because of a funny joke which sprayed Ryan. We all laughed and said it was Jess' way of welcoming him into the group. The ride home was the funniest thing in the world. It was Ryan, Jess, Craig (Jess' BF), Taylor and I. Taylor was telling us these stories which had us in stitches. We were making fun of red necks at one point and Jess said something about a guy making his wife make him grill cheese. Taylor yelled "Make it with velveeta you cunt!" We all nearly died.

I dropped the kiddies off and drove Ryan back to his car. He was going bowling with the family. We talked about how hard it is not seeing each other a lot, but agreed that it does make our time together really good. For those keeping track we are officially using the BF word now. It's been 6 weeks and we've both started using it pretty regularly. We also talked a bit about his (abusive) ex which was a touchy subject. I of course wound up crying during the conversation. I really care about him and get so upset when I think about someone doing that to him. I was glad to get some of that out in the open though. I was always so nervous about what I say and do so it is good we talked. Plus it shows he trusts me which makes me happy.

Today looks like fall here in Boston. Which is kind of nice actually. I look forward to doing fall things. Football, apple picking, folliage rides and such. And of course my favorite, curling up with cocoa and either my cute boy, a good book or both :-D Oh side note that Anne will appreciate. Ryan is a goddamn human furnance. With the 2 of us under the comforter it becomes a sauna.

I think he and I are going to go apple picking this weekend. YAY!!!
