Yeah, tornado sirens are chilling, especially the first time you hear them.

glad you guys are ok, but also GLAD WE DIDN'T GO TO YOUR PLACE TO HIDE FROM THE STORM :)
we haven't been home yet, but my dad is and said other than the lack of power, everything is ok at our house. so no trees fell on my kitties. (yes, that was my only concern in regards to my house and personal property.)
stay safe!

Hey all, looks like your old neighborhood is under some water. The levee is busted, and is flooding things quite a bit.

not sure if that will work, but nola.com has some interesting stuff.

we weathered it, so did our house (from what I can tell from getting home at midnight and leaving at 5am). No power, or phones, but the cats are ok, so Amanda is happy. Although I think one of them pissed under the bed....

I'm safe, and I think most of my friends/family are safe. I haven't heard from some of them, but that doesn't mean they didn't get the heck out of dodge.

I'm in Montgomery, Alabama now, back in the States.

Where are /you/ these days, though? :)

Still in Weimar, Germany and starting my last semester of school, getting the german MA equivalent in Media Arts. But I'm also mentally ready to move back to Canada and already in the early planning stages for doing just that - I need to reapply for immigration and go through the whole bureaucratic process again unfortunately. If all goes well I'll be doing the travel-thing for a couple of months in 2006 and scouting for jobs (anyone looking for an experimental sound designer/instructor?), flat, etc. I'll drop you an email sometime soon with all the latest.

Are you guys doing alright over there in Montgomery? Haven't heard from you for a few days and you're usually the most reliable of posters.

Hope things are well.
