a day in the life. a new weekly feature.

my first one. be gentle.

yeah, we don't have kids. yeah, we still go to bed before midnight most nights.

he gets up early for work. we're moving overseas on thursday, so i'm up early as well.

the bedhead is mighty with this one.

yes, i do make the bed everymorning.

we are a proud weetabix family.

haha, the husband has left me money. that's a good thing as i have important duties held within this 20 euro note.

it looked sunny outside, i take a chance with actually straightening my hair if there's no rain.

i must continue the atrocity that is packing our apartment into luggage.

whilst packing, i find a tenner in an old journal! i am queen of everything! (that's what the tenner tells me.)

the laundry tells me that i am not queen of everything, and in fact, i must obey it.

the rubbish and recycling have the same sentiment. i must obey them as well.

much needed sitting down.

and dobo (my husband) rings, and i'm confused by this notion him coming home early.

i prepare my favorite and long-loved boots for their next journey. donation to charity.

and other stuff too. including the stuffed dog (we call him dinner) we won at a charity raffle.

walking down shop street, i stop in at eason's for my stationery needs and to bypass some of the mob of tourists for the sake of air conditioning.

then i walk home, we live in the purple building.

i stuff envelopes full of good stuff like chocolate and birthday presents.

then i'm incredibly hungry despite the last two days of tummy upset, and so i go to the cafe around the corner. it's not my favorite place but it's cool and quiet.
i will learn later on that evening that chicken ceasar salad is not my tummy's friend.

i go home to check the internets. they tell me bad things.

i ignore them and go to the post office instead.

i am home for only a few minutes when dobo arrives; so so early, and it makes me happy.

we go to our landlord to arrange to get our deposit back and tell her of hooligans in our building. we are moving so soon.

then we meet up with our good friend, seanan. we drag him along to find yet another suitcase for our move.
then we have ice cream and pie, and we talk good talk.
we'll miss seanan a lot.

we take seanan to the supermarket with us, as we don't want to say goodbye. but it is, like other things, inevitable.

when we get home, dobo decides to cook us dinner - asparagus, pasta, cheese, and broccoli.
my belly is in upset, but i decide i will eat anyway.
he gives me chocolate for when i feel better. not just any chocolate, but fancy chocolate.

every night, i give him a footrub. it's his favorite thing in the world, besides the obvious.

then it's happy monday night time. he makes me peppermint tea for my stomach, and because i need to vary my fluids, i drink some dandelion and burdock soda.
we watch father ted (we totally heart father ted), and of course, we watch lost as well.

dobo sorts out his resume because we need jobs where we'll be goin!

i'm still not feeling awesome. so i take my salted water, regular water, and more tea to the bedroom to read for a while.

soon, the dobo joins me, and we both fall asleep quickly and with peace.

the end.
