Sydney Uni, Fine Arts majoring in construction (fashion). They certainly do Fine Arts, and there ought to be some stream that would let you do that.

Just a suggestion.

And call me when you're ready to take commissions.

I think you should do Arts @ USyd. As well as take fashion design/tailoring as a hobby for now. You can always do a diploma after you finish your degree. Even if you get a degree/diploma in fashion design, there is no guarantee in that field. You need to keep your options open.

Anyways, what is the UAI for Fashion Design at UTS now? last time I remember, it use to be 95.9 or something. 99.9 for Fashion Design and International studies.

Anyways, I think it's best to talk to Clare about it? Seeing as she's actually doing a fashion design course, seems like a lot of stress. If you really want to do this, I really do recommend you apply for RMIT. More well known for fashion design compared to anything in NSW. If not, there's White house Institute of Design (Fashion)in Sydney.

I just want you to know there is ALOT of competition in the fashion world. There is no guarantee that you'll have a successful career. It's a harsh reality that only a handful make it to the top.

I would say to look it up and find out what option is more likely to 1)make you the happiest, and 2) get you to where you want to be in life.

lol late reply since you you've already talked to me XD
RMIT is meant to be really good... but they do stuff you around a lot 2 of the girls from last year went to study there this year and they basically applied for diploma and instead RMIT put them in as cert 4 because they had too many diploma's

the uai for Fashion Design and Internation is like HUGE and is like almost impossible to get OTL wish you luck so much if you go for this

and White house Institute of Design is really really expensive... really really... like my course is expensive but white house is like x5 more (probably more like x2 but yeah expensive)

i really love pattern making so i totally know what you mean XD

LOL this post is so old but whatever. I definitely think you should get into fashion design because a. You're very good at making designs/having ideas/etc and b. You're very good at making patterns and sewing. The university you go to isn't really all that matters. I mean, a course is still a course and it's all working together towards the same goal.
