Simon Pampena, “maths comedian”, should be prevented from repeating this performance at any cost, as he risks undoing all the good work Adam Spencer did for mathematicskind over the years. Well, I'm glad I missed Pampena then. We decided not to go on the grounds that we would probably know all the jokes already.

If he's that bad, I'm sure I could get together with a few friends to write an actually funny show.

Eh, the actual mathematics part of mathematics was largely glossed over; no specialist knowledge was expected, catered for, nor even really explained except in the vaguest of terms. Which, in fairness, is all you really need to demonstrate that the World-Cup-tipping octopus was a fraud, but some of his other stuff deserved more depth and the rest was just mindless.

The sad part is, you and your friends could probably give him the show to perform and with the right director he’d do a terrific job of it. There's a good comedian in there somewhere, someone just needs to explain the concept of “dignity” to him.
