It's difficult to imagine that only 2 weeks ago, we were celebrating Dink's Gotcha Day at the Japanese restaurant, wondering if it was likely to be our last meal out on the town for a while... and here we are in that very reality. Good news is that it's been 2 weeks and none of us are ill, so apparently we didn't breathe in any nasty germs while we ( Read more... )

What a gorgeous tree! It looks like it's covered in cotton balls.

It does! Little white petals are already streaming down from it, which just adds to the magic. :)

Your pantry is far better organized than mine - I blame the barstool space!

OM NOM NOM NOM SUSHI P. and I have decided to have that for our anniversary supper tomorrow night: the local place is literally just down the hill from us and will deliver.

I only wish my pantry could STAY organized, but with two other people in the house who don't really make it a priority, yeah... not gonna happen. LOL

I love sushi, as does Dink, but hubby can't stand it. So she and I usually save it for a girls' lunch out. This will be more of a girls' lunch in. *g*

Woo hoo!!

I made a teeny bit of progress on it for hubby today. Our neighbor runs a hauling business and I texted his wife to find out particulars on getting a load of gravel from him. They're going camping this weekend, though, so we won't get a reply until Monday. Smart folks, heading out into the wilderness where there's no virus-ridden people around!

I am so pleased the idea is spreading! I am also pleased that I am not the only inadvertent hoarder. Your cupboard is now a thing of beauty.

As is the tree :)

It's a very good idea... and it's fun to see how everyone else is spending their days. We're all living hobbit lives at the moment, staying home and doing homey things.

I think having those big baskets really does help make the pantry more attractive. They were a holdover from the old kitchen and I'm glad I was able to find a place for them in the new one.

SUCH a beautiful tree! And a mighty fine looking pantry, too. :D Always so satisfying, getting everything not only looking nice but that much more usable. Having so recently gone through and cleaned out and reorganized everything in my room, I find myself in the rather odd position of having an itch to spring clean, but... not really having anything of my own that needs sorting out right now. Except the remaining section of my clothes. Which does need to be done at some point, but which I do not feel like doing. Naturally. XD

Mmm. sushi! I am a very recent convert to the joys of sushi, and not very adventurous yet, but I do really like what I've had. It'd be nice if we had more options locally, though... it's pretty much only one very high end, pricy place or the local grocery stores - which do make quite good (by my inexperienced standards, anyway) sushi, but in a very limited range.

You really did your spring cleaning in late winter (and early and mid, from the sounds of it) this year. I don't blame you for not wanting to go through clothes. That's just so... tedious. For me, at least, it also is a reminder that I'm woefully unfashionable. *sigh*

I don't get very daring with sushi, either. California rolls are still pretty much my go-to. I've never tried the raw fish kind (which has a different name that escapes me right now... um, nigiri?? Something like that, anyway). I think if I lived on the coast, I'd be more willing to try it, but here in the landlocked Midwest/Midsouth, I kinda don't trust the fish to be fresh enough to eat raw. :P
