It's difficult to imagine that only 2 weeks ago, we were celebrating Dink's Gotcha Day at the Japanese restaurant, wondering if it was likely to be our last meal out on the town for a while... and here we are in that very reality. Good news is that it's been 2 weeks and none of us are ill, so apparently we didn't breathe in any nasty germs while we

OM NOM NOM NOM SUSHI P. and I have decided to have that for our anniversary supper tomorrow night: the local place is literally just down the hill from us and will deliver.

I love sushi, as does Dink, but hubby can't stand it. So she and I usually save it for a girls' lunch out. This will be more of a girls' lunch in. *g*

I made a teeny bit of progress on it for hubby today. Our neighbor runs a hauling business and I texted his wife to find out particulars on getting a load of gravel from him. They're going camping this weekend, though, so we won't get a reply until Monday. Smart folks, heading out into the wilderness where there's no virus-ridden people around!

Mmm. sushi! I am a very recent convert to the joys of sushi, and not very adventurous yet, but I do really like what I've had. It'd be nice if we had more options locally, though... it's pretty much only one very high end, pricy place or the local grocery stores - which do make quite good (by my inexperienced standards, anyway) sushi, but in a very limited range.

I don't get very daring with sushi, either. California rolls are still pretty much my go-to. I've never tried the raw fish kind (which has a different name that escapes me right now... um, nigiri?? Something like that, anyway). I think if I lived on the coast, I'd be more willing to try it, but here in the landlocked Midwest/Midsouth, I kinda don't trust the fish to be fresh enough to eat raw. :P
