Thank you very much! Currently it's even too warm here, up to 6-12°C/42-54°F which is far too warm for the season - bees are already flying, not finding any food, and there's a danger of fruit tree buds opening, which in turn means no harvest as they won't survive so early in the year, so I'm glad that more frost is forecast, -10°C/14°F, which is more fitting. I don't mind cold weather anyway, as long as I don't have to scrape my windhields, which is worst when the temperatures are dancing around the freezing point which is more typical for our climate. Today the weather is totally weird, though: the sky is completely overcast but with a very yellow tinge, although there are no clouds: we have a rare occasion of sands from the Sahara darkening the sun. Very eery feeling, like in one of these apocalyptic movies. *g* What I really wish for is a clear sky and drier weather, so going out for a walk isn't such a chore, as we had nearly two weeks of severe rain by now.
Oh yes! *g* We're supposed to get snow again, but I learned today that there's a likelihood to get blood snow, or if it stays warmer, blood rain - both happening when the water-carrying clouds mix with red sand from the Sahara and the water bonds (term?) with the sand particles. If that happens I'll definitel go out to see for myself, and take pictures! LOL TBH we were totally lazy, and I slept a lot. As I really needed the sleep it's fine, I suppose, although it feels a bit embarrasing to spend your special day just like this.
I'm of the firm belief that however a person chooses to spend a birthday, whether in rest and relaxation or wild revelry, is entirely up to them and entirely (short of behaving like a criminal, of course) appropriate. *g* I'm glad you had a restful one.
I'd love to see photos of blood snow. Usually by the time wind-blown Saharan sand reaches our area, it's dispersed so high in the atmosphere that it doesn't cause any coloration to anything except the sunset. (And isn't it amazing that sand from halfway around the world can travel so far!)
