I've found that things made with nut flour are usually OK. I use Siete tortillas for my wraps and they're wonderful. I always buy grass-fed beef, and try to get the best quality meats I can. The chemicals they put into the food at feed lots are NOT healthy. I'm delighted he's seeing a naturopath. He'll have much better luck then than with conventional medicine. Keep in mind that most doctors have seven years of education to become physicians, and in that time most have NO nutritional education, or a minimum of a few short weeks. Ridiculous when so many ailments can be traced back to nutrition.

I don't know if nut flour is something he can eat or not, given he can't eat peanut butter, but before he told me he couldn't eat PB, I had thought immediately of nut flour for bread. It really was a hellish time for him, finding out what he could and couldn't eat (and I'm not going to knock traditional medical doctors; I believe there's value in both schools of thought--I've lost a grandfather to a "natural" doctor who was an absolute quack, and traditional medicine gave my mother many high-quality years she otherwise would never have had).

Just to point out ... peanuts are not nuts, they are legumes. They're a completely different "beast" than nuts are, and a lot of people will have sensitivity to peanut butter but be just fine with true nuts.

(Just felt I had to respond quickly while this was still in my head, even though I don't "post" on Sundays. I hope you're having fun with your sister.)

It could very well be that my BiL can tolerate tree nuts but not peanuts, then. OTOH, his intolerances are so all over the place that it might just be luck that SiL found a nut flour he could eat.
