Trying to find accomodation is a pain in the ass, seriously. The boarding colleges are so expensive per week it isn't funny, I forgot how they seem only to cater to rich farmers and other snobby families. The student hostels are a better option ( Read more... )

Don't remind me... I gave up on college long time ago due insanely prices for dorms; classes and books cost way too much. Paying off debt for the end of our lives.

That sounds about right. It's either uni though, or being stuck in a town of 2000ish in a supermarket job or at the icecream factory; I at least want to experience something different!

Don't you have student halls of residence or something?? Or is that just boarding colleges? I'd hate to live with my mum in uni years too, partly because she's just... well, a bit crazy and also because it's uni!! :) Do you have a twin??? OO

Have fun at combat class :D Sounds really fun!!

Depending on which uni you go to, there is housing for the students by the uni, the boarding colleges, student hostels etc, as well as share-housing and renting. It's not like America (and maybe England?) where there are set dormitories.

My parents have been divorced for ages, and she just emailed me saying she could keep an eye out for share-housing, etc, no 'Hi Caitlin, I'd love to have you live with me until you find your feet'. Grr.

I've gotten an application for a student hostel, so I won't be homeless, yay! I do have a twin, we're apparently identical but not actually THAT identical. I think personalities come into play :P

Combat class was awesome. My muscles hurt. But it was fun!
