I. Can't. Effing. Relax.

I'm tense, my back, shoulders and neck ache, and I can't stop thinking. Can anyone meditate? Does it work? Is it good? Would you recommend it to me, and how the hell do I do it???
I was seriously stressed for about six months, I got over that, and now it's back. Thank FUCK I'm not depressed -  I think I'd know if I was.

Oh yeah, you have a record-breaking heatwave which makes me melt just thinking of 40* weather.

*raises hand* I kind of know how to meditate.
Firstly I start by breathing deeply from my stomach. Then I concentrate on keeping that breathing the same.
It's more relaxing than it sounds, as you're trying to not focus on anything aside from your breathing, the sound of it, the rising and falling of your stomach, etc.
Results may vary though, as some people just seem to find meditation pointless.

Guided meditation is lovely though, if you ever get to try it.

Record-breaking heatwave is FUN. Not really, I get home from uni and lay under the ceiling fan. It's ridiculous, but a beach day is being planned (we'll probably be fried to death, though!)

I'll give it a go, thank you so much!!

As stated before, I'm melting just thinking of those temperatures.

Good luck! Hope it works.

35 degrees O_O Holy fuck. I thought it was hot when it was just 28... ^^;

I don't do meditation so I can't tell you how. Perhaps just do something you really enjoy to take your mind off things for a while. And I find aching shoulders/back can be loosened after a good (ie. vicious) round of tennis XD

That conversation (?if it counts) made me laugh!
