One of the days I feel it's okay to hate America.

i must say...i agree with "america" on this one. Singing in a halftime show to "promote one cause" is saying that cause is the single most important cause out there. I'm not saying that issue isn't important, of course it is, but so are countless other things. Besides, if it wasnt Bono pushing the idea, nobody would even give a crap. What if it was like Dave Coulier (sp?)? it wouldnt even be an issue.

I just think this part is hilarious:

"We simply decided that we were going to have our halftime show, and we were going to deliver, as we do annually, an extremely entertaining halftime show ... we don't believe it's appropriate to focus on a single issue."

and they're right - don't focus on one depressing issue for the half time show. he could've done his song, then they could've moved on to a stupid medley of songs by shitty pop artists with bare belly buttons, and aging rock stars trying to stay hip.

and "extremely entertaining" gets me every time. l-o-l for sure.

yea, i don't remember the last time the halftime show was entertaining. Well, there was this one time.. aerosmith was there... and run DMC..but then britney spears ruined it.

I think i'll just watch the payperview halftime show with the girls playing football in their underwear
