View from my hotel, that's the parking lot. People just park where ever they feel like it...no lines, no rules...
More parking lot, plus the traditional 'condos' that more people live in.
Picture of the condos
Yulia, my host, took my to see the University where she went to school. There is a statue there of one of the founders (in the 1970's). Apparently, there is a tradition for the students to climb up and rub his crotch around final exam time...
She also took me to a park! Here we are in a carriage.
It was a pretty park, with a lake.
Then we went on the scariest ferris wheel ever. It was creaky and high and it freaked me out. But I didn't want to offend her by not going on it...
My host, Yulia.
I found a Russian yarn store! Biggest skein of yarn ever! I bought 2 skeins of burgundy mohair, I will make a shawl out of it to remember Russia
We went down city center, here is the zodiac signs in the ground.
They had statues all over the city, too.
And a WWII memorial, with a fire that never stops burning.
