Lydia has adopted her new juvenile ratty, named by Lydia "Pumpkin." S/he is so damn cute, really. I'll have to get some pictures tomorrow and post them. Maybe loki_quinn will let me use her camera

Actually, we ended up with the rat because while doing our rodent research, we discovered that a tame rat is the least likely to bite. Gerbils, hamsters, etc, are not nearly as sociable and will bite. Tame, pet-store rats are smart, trainable, sociable, and really friendly! : )
