Today I went back to the surgeon for the "last" time.  I told him about the sutures causing the staph infection.  he appologized and said that sometimes they can take up to a year to dissolve

I played clarinet for 8+ years, trumpet for 2+, and marimba for 2 marching seasons -- how could I not? :)

Your situation with the non-dissolving sutures seems troublesome. Considering they caused a staph infection, i would think the surgeon would have more to say. Him continually pushing back the date when they should be gone makes him sound like a quack trying to cover his tracks.

People selling pills in the parking lot of a medical facility is incredibly audacious.

I can't say I've ever had an unplanned fangirl moment like that--how fun!

I agree, but I also think that the surgeon is pretty much just as baffled by the completely non-dissolving-ness as the rest of us and doesn't know what to say. When we've had to cut some of them out, we can tell that they are *supposed* to be the dissolving kind, but there is absolutely no evidence of any disolving.

One of my residents wants to take one out entirely and do some "experiments" on it and me. I'm not sure I care that much. :snicker:
