the first thing my filipino idol said to me this morning was - "are you a christian or a catholic". needless to say, i was taken a back and struggled with how i should answer such a question. i told him that i wasn't really either, but i had gone to an anglican school. he then asked "but you have been baptized right?"... ...Or maybe he would go on thinking that you're an effen cool person and change his mind about religious stereotypes?

You never know...when I'm put in situations like that I often just take it as a kind gesture and sit with that, because it's too easy to be uncomfortable. Face value is nice once in a while...

it wasn't a bad uncomfortable per se...more just a pensive uncomfortable. i wasn't offended with him at all. maybe i didn't articulate myself well enough. it's just interesting the way he approached me and it didn't even seem to cross his mind that i wouldn't be catholic or christian.

what's cowapolooza?
i would love to; however, i'm hosting a painting party at my apartment. and by party i mean ... we are painting our bedrooms with any help we can get.
