that's a great book. i really enjoyed it. i did not, however, enjoy the movie. i watched it for Jude Law (love him) and was horribly disappointed. so don't watch the movie! :)

and try not to focus on how you looked at 19. i know it's way easier said than done- i do the same thing. but your body changes! there's a different set of challenges at 24-25 than there is at 19. trust me, because i'm 28 and wishing for my 22 year old body! :)

Thanks for the tip on the movie. MOvies generally aren't quite as good as the books anyway.

Why don't men seem to have the same body changing issues that women do? I know they have their own set of problems, but the focus and pressure on womens' bodies always seems much greater than that on men. But who knows.

no problem. and you're right. when are they ever as good? well, The Hours was pretty good. aside from that, i just don't know.

it's true! my boyfriend has put on some weight as well over the past couple years, but it doesn't show as much on him and it doesn't really seem to matter with guys. i'm over here feeling all flabby and horrible and he's popping Combos in his mouth like it's nothing! i agree- we have more "expectations" as women. booo.
