I got bit not once, but THREE times by stupid ants that were, get this, IN THE POOL. Stupid ants. Those bites burn like none other. They're coming up between the caulk right next to the edge of the pool in one of the corners. All but one teacher got bit tonight, and I know of one kid who fell victim to those creepy creatures. They are not nice. At all. And to top it off, when I get ant bites I get blister-like things within the next couple days. Just slightly painful.

fire ants are NOT COOL. crappiest insect ever.

(at our farm we had a huge number of big mounds, and then I think they got into a turf war and killed each other off. It's weird, now there are hardly any...)
