Brittney Example

Brittney couldn’t tell you why the weather network was blaring at her at six in the morning, at that particular moment, but she’d be damned if she didn’t get to the bottom of it. Which of course, was fairly easy. Her younger brother Daniel, always used the television in her room. Why? Because he was to damn lazy to go down stairs into the living room, turn the television on and figure out if it was going to be raining or not. That and he knew it pissed her off. Wouldn’t you be pissed if you woke up at six in the morning? TO THE FREAKING WEATHER NETWORK? Yeah, well Brittney was.

“DAN STAY OUT OF MY ROOM!” Brittney yelled before turning over, allowing her hair to span out across the white pillows with ease. Six in the fcuking morning. I’ve got an hour and ahalf before I even have to be up. Stupid field trip. Oh yeah, a field trip first thing in the morning, brilliant wasn’t it? Oh yeah. Her science class was going on a camping trip, a freaking camping trip. She didn’t do camping oh no. Sure she could deal with some bugs, she could deal with the bathrooms being out houses and she didn’t mind sleeping in a tent. But.. being stuck with him? Yeah not her idea of a camping trip, of a science class. Hell anything. If she had her way she wouldn’t have been partnered with him, she would have passed Science and she would have been on her way. But of course, Brittney couldn’t change the world for the better(in her mind). The only some what decent thing about this camping trip? Some of her friends would be there, thank god. Oh and they didn’t have to tent co-ed. Though that was a shame, she’d like some male company for some of the nights. Of course, the teachers/counsellors…whatever the hell they were, had to ruin her fun. ONCE AGAIN.

After several minutes of debating whether or not she was going to get up and out of the warm bed she resided in, Brittney rose with a groan and a stiffened yawn. Thank god she had a built in bathroom, she would have KILLED had she had to share a bathroom with Daniel. Oh god. Cringing at the thought of Daniels boxers strung around the bathroom, toothpaste everyway, Brittney moved into the bathroom closing the door behind her with a kick of her bare foot. Frail hands found the sink taps, turning them on and running their selves under the cool water gathering it in her palms before splashing it onto her face quickly. Turning the taps off once more her feet shifted oh so slightly as she bent down to retrieve a lavender towel, placing it on the counter top as she shed herself of her PJ’s. The last shower she’d be having in side, lovely.

The sound of metallic rings sliding across another metallic bar hit her ears as the shower curtain was drawn back behind her, her body hit with the hot water. A satisfied sigh left her lips as her head tilted backwards, allowing the water to soak into her hair, sinking into her skin. Making sure every inch of her hair had been properly dampened she grabbed her shampoo bottle, took a small dab of ginger scented shampoo into her palm before resting the bottle back onto the small shelve. Lathering the shampoo through her hair until the suds were slowly falling from her scalp Brittney took her time rinsing out the soap, moving her fingers through her hair to get every little sud. Once done washing her hair and her body she found herself remaining under the spray of the hot water, soaking in as much of it as she could. Reluctantly she turned and shut the water off, ringing out her hair quickly she drew the shower curtain back and grabbed the towel.

After brushing her teeth, washing her face properly and brushing her hair she exited the bathroom. Pulling out a pair of black skinny jeans along with a blue tank topBrittney tossed the towel to her bed, dressing quickly as she glanced at the clock upon her night stand. Fifteen minutes after seven. She had to be at the school for seven forty, as did the rest of her Science class. Not bothering to blow dry or straighten her hair she ran a brush through it once more before quickly tying it up in a bun, parting her bangs to the side Brittney rushed around her room. Pushing the towel from her bed into the hamper she moved to her purse, checking to make sure she had everything.

- House Keys
- Ipod
- Blackberry
- Wallet
- Gum
- School ID

Her makeup bag was already in her suitcase, so she didn’t have to worry about that. Nodding to herself she took hold of her purse and left her room. Descending down the stairs she headed straight for the front door, sliding on her clothed boots and grabbing her leather jacket Brittney checked the time on the clock in the living room. “ DANIEL! COME ON. I’M READY.” Within a few seconds her younger brother bounded down the stairs. Daniel scoffed as he pushed past Brittney and out the door. Rolling her eyes Brittney yelled a quick ‘BYE’ to her parents who were still upstairs, grabbing her suitcase she bounded from the door and towards Daniel’s car. Throwing the suitcase into the back seat Brittney slid into the passenger seat with ease, “Thanks again for the ride. Daniel nodded.

As they pulled into the school parking lot Brittney groaned, hardly anyone was there. Mr. Erickson was there along with their counsellor Mrs. Patterson, though only a few students were. Thanking Daniel once more Brittney slid from the car, her purse on her arm and suitcase in hand she made her way over to the bright school bus. “ Good Morning Ms. Jenn! Are you excited to go camping?” Offering Ms.Patterson a fake smile Brittney nodded, dropping her suitcase where the rest of the student’s luggage was before ushering past the teachers and onto the bus. God please let someone get here soon. Finding a seat close to the back Brittney sat down, took out her Blackberry to check her texts and awaited the arrival of her friends.
