Another year, another Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher; Rodimus Prime, the boy who lived, waited apprehensively. Arcee had said that Ultra Magnus was a famous Auror; Springer had snorted, "Famous for the stick up his robes, you mean."

Ultra Magnus arrived precisely on time, and Rodimus' jaw dropped: no one had mentioned that this famous Auror was gorgeous!

Optimus the Elf Lord looked down on the gardens of Iacon, where his children played, elf and human. From the way they laughed and scuffled you would hardly have known that Rodimus was the elder by a full hundred years--or how soon it would be that Daniel would have to grow old and fulfill his destiny among men.

But Rodimus did not seem to care, nor did Daniel; and so Optimus admonished himself to enjoy the moment.
