I have plans for a couple herby flower plants too. Borage, chamomile and lavender are some of them. :3 (borage can be used to add flavor to gin cocktails)

Wooly thyme - It's a ground cover that smells yummy and gets little purple flowers

Chives - They are delicious and get purple flowers

Sage - Also gets purple flowers (are we seeing a theme here?)

Basil - A must of course, but you need to pick the flowers off in order for it to keep producing leaves.

Make sure that whatever you buy is good for your hardiness zone.

Cabbage and cauliflower! There are some really nice decorative ones, they're resistant to frost, and they're still edible.

arugula is a good one, i've used it a bit in cooking as of late.

mint and dill are also nice additions, and of course the standard chives. my garden used to have chives and it was nice to just be able to walk by and eat one heh.

the house looks awesome too.
