"So today at (almost) 49 years of age, i went and voted, i let my voice be heard and i voted straight party line. I did it with great pride that our country has given me a voice and i got to use it today the best way i know how."

RIGHT ON!

No matter what the candidates says, with very rare exception, every one of them votes along party lines.

But for a very long time i held very close to my heart that i must vote character, not party line; but, for some reason and only lately, i have made a decision to make my voice heard the loudest. I had to make sure that it was in allignment with a strong party line, so instead of going to a lesser voice yet more alligned with my personal core values, i stayed in the mainstream and i am persuaded that for me, it is how i must be heard.

For the right or the wrong of it...

and speaking of right and left politically speaking, check this scripture out

Ecclesiastes 10:2 The heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of the fool to the left

Interesting. In the Bible, the right always indicated blessing and the left cursing. Some scholars say that the prophet, Ehud, was crippled because he was left-handed. Judges 3:15.

of course this is from the canonized bible of today and in English. I haven't done any research on the original textual application at all. Just a funny verse i thought :-)

I know many left handed people who are very God fearing (the beginning of wisdom) and loving people.

I think we lose so much in the translation of a picture driven culture (Jewish) to a word and bullet point culture (USA)

Just a few lingering thoughts from a
