The weather report list other days this week as "mostly sunny and pleasant" but today as "partly cloudy" and Friday as "mostly sunny."  I guess we've got a couple of days this week that just aren't pleasant

They're saying that because Obama said his next pick would have Empathy as a quality as well as Intelligence.

Yes, but they would have said that no matter what, "empathy" qualification or not. Their whole thing is to be obstructionist. It may be that this pick was partly political -- and I've read very little on this Sotomayor person so far -- as it forces the Rethuglicans to either confirm her or alienate the Latino voting bloc. Frankly I don't get the concern. We've got enough votes without those goons.
