[Ion isn't saying anything about that apology. Not yet. Even though there isn't a person in the village who could possibly hold Luke accountable for something the Malnosso did to him, the fact that the person they turned Luke into was still Luke meant it only made sense he'd feel the need to apologize.]
[But even so...]
...you're wrong, Luke. You are a good person. And you aren't pathetic either.
That's right. I do know about everything you did, Luke. [A pause. Then a smile.]
I know you're the one who offered to protect me in the Cheagle Woods. You're the one who didn't give up, even when it seemed like everyone else had given up on you. The one who tried so hard to make amends for the sins you committed, even at the risk of your own life. The one who cares so much about the well-being of others, showing compassion even for those you've never met...
Someone like that... I don't see how they couldn't be a good person.
[... Sigh, Ion. You always know how to say the right things. Luke still can't help doubting... but examples like that help him see things for the better, now.]
... Still, they changed me back so fast. Am I really all that far from who I used to be? What if... What if it happens again?
[Naturally, Moses is out of the loop but he can't help but be a nosy bastard now that he has the ability. So it comes as no surprise that he listens to the whole apology and has to weigh in on it.]
Dunno what happened but I ain't ever heard someone say sorry that much. You're gonna wear out that word if you keep usin' it.
[He doesn't want to make it all bad...] If you're feelin' that sorry, I ain't gonna say you're a bad guy. Real bastards don't give a damn who they hurt.
[Huh. New guy? Luke doesn't recognize him from when he had short or long hair...
Still, he can't help smiling a little.]
I guess I am acting kind of stupid... [And the smiles falls away.] I don't think you saw me when I was like... that, but I've been wanting to change from that for so long. And then the Malnosso just twisted it around in minutes.
[Moses just snorts slightly, the sound of wood being sanded in the background thankfully not overpowering his voice.]
You ain't stupid, either. Don't think it's wrong to be sorry for things but you don't gotta get down on your knees all the time.
[He stays silent for a moment, leaning away from wherever the journal is before he leans close again.] If it's them Malnosso, why're you the one apologisin'? I ain't been here long but I'm startin' to get the idea of how things work 'round here. Malnosso take us'n do whatever they want with us.
[There's another pause as Moses clearly stretches out and yawns, adjusting the position of the journal.] Name's Moses. Pleasure meetin' ya.

[Man, Ven knew Luke was different for that time, but he can't just hold it against him.]
It's okay. You don't have to do anything.

I'm sorry, Roxas. I didn't mean any of those things I said. [God, he was so nasty to Roxas. And all because of his stupid pride...]

...and hey. At least your hair doesn't look as ridiculous anymore. [It's an attempt at a joke, to say the least.]
You're feeling better though?

... But I don't think I'm feeling any better. [Even though people seem to be okay with him... He still made an ass out of himself. And Xion...]

[...] I don't like how they can do that to us. How they can bring up our worst memories and make us relive it, not even knowing what they're doing.
