And now my day begins.

Apr 03, 2009 13:03

I've been on break for a whopping 12 days, but it feels like an eternity and a half. It's kind of hard to believe that my last day of high school was exactly two weeks ago. I don't know what to think, really.

All I really know for sure is, I'm going to miss it there-- there are some things you find only in St. Paul.
[No, I am not referring to rampant lesbianism.]

I lost my ID strap during the first few days of graduation practice [yeah, just the strap; I still have my ID]. I felt so, so incomplete during the remaining days of school and couldn't let the year end without one.

Unfortunately, in true SPCP stupidity, the school boutique does not sell ID holders. Just ID straps. Wtf right? So I walked around the rest of the day like this:

Public school kid muuuuch.

[And, in true Andrea stupidity, I have no idea where the strap is now.]

That I've graduated from high school is an even bigger surprise. As Marga and I were saying to each other before we parted ways [for the day only, okay], we used to think we wouldn't last til junior year. We had expulsion written all over our faces back in the seventh grade. Look at our ugly mugs now:

That's my favourite graduation shot, and therefore the only one I'm going to show you. [The rest are on my Multiply.]

And since then, life has been pretty predictable. I mean look--

Beer tower. PREDICTABLE.

I haven't done anything on my summer list.
Okay, that's a lie. I have.

  • I've confirmed my Ateneo slot. Although the ID picture station thingo was closed and I haven't activated my AISIS account because of some weird security thing? Anyway, my random number is 489. I know it doesn't matter because freshmen only pick Science and PE classes, so I'm kind of okay with it. I just hope I don't get crappy classes/teachers.
  • I'm teaching at Palatiw again. Fine, so I've been back only once, and I couldn't stop blinking [blame the beer tower above; we had two], but I am totally ready to fall back into the habit of waking up at 7AM to teach public school kids. [I should be canonized.]
  • I do Pilates every Monday. Okay, this was not on my summer list-- or ANY of my lists, honestly-- but my mom pulled me into it, and now I have no choice but to spend an hour every week feeling like a trophy wife. I was supposed to take the Quark Henares film class [long story on why I didn't]. This is what I got instead.

And yeah, that's pretty much it. The summer list includes muay thai [with Jamie originally], the leadership congress/Paulink, fixing my room [BLEGH.] and various activities in preparation for college [shopping, duh]. I've got a whole month to do that, but feel free to leave suggestions? Hahaha.
