fst: Two Minds and All the Places They have Been

[Okay, what was going through my head making this *yes, I had a thought -- try not to faint* was to chronicle Charles & Erik's relationship right through the film, with a different song for each different important scene. Which is why there's a film-quote for every track. ^_^ The idea/hope was that you could listen to this and feel like you've ( Read more... )

Okay, first: I've downloaded and added this. Second, in iTunes if it's marked as a compilation it doesn't need an album artist (it will be sorted into the compilations folder under the album title for those that use that option). Third, the only things that I had to change in iTunes were the album art and the genre (Fanmix).

Your art is amazing, as always. And A 24 song mix. I'm so happy. So few mixes end up at over 15 songs. (My story mixes all end up with at least 50 songs or more (because I have mini-mixes within the mix).) I'm going to listen to this now. Also, I love the [] in the titles of the songs. That's an interesting idea. I might steal it (with credit where credit is due).

Ahh! I didn't know that about itunes - thank you, I'll have to remember that in future. *was just clicking everything I could, lol* Also - IKR? Mixed with, like, ten songs in them barely seem worth the effort! ^_^' I'm sure I must've seen someone else do the [ ] thing before, I can't have thought of that - it's very handy for showing exactly what you're thinking, though.

[ps. Lemme know if you do a fanmix, I'd love to see!]

I only have four mixes in the works right now (and two of them have been in the works for like two years or something like that (because I make mixes for my NaNoWriMo projects, then get all super anal about how the mood needs to flow and the different parts need to match up to the different parts of the story...)). If I do successfully make a mix you will be one of the first to find out (my roommates will find out first because I'm going to demand they help (slave labor~)).

I got confused with all the parenthesis so I decided that a new paragraph was in order. I thought I'd point out those niffty facts about iTunes, since I found out by trial and error while adding the (probably hundreds of) mixes that I've picked up all over the place (but mostly on the fst comm on lj). And I'm still going to credit you for the [ ] bit, because it's the first time I've seen it and I lurk on mix comms. And because I feel like it. *sticks out tongue*

[Oh wow, you do NaNoWriMo! My beta/bff Gen did that last year and she managed to hit the target - so she's going to be published on Amazon! ^_^ Isn't that great? I'm so proud of her!]
Oh, I spent AGES agonising over the song-choices here. And even then, there's like scads of songs lying in the 'rejection heap' playlist, lol.
Hee, you - well, I guess if seeing the [ ] here gave you idea, I can't hold it against you. ^_^ But thx for sharing 'bout the itunes thing - I love it, use it loads, but what I don't know about it could fill a floor of Charles' house. ^_^'

I'm glad I'm not the only one who put "Samson" on a mix for them :). The emotional tone is so perfect.
