I've been thinking alot about what happened at Virginia Tech. The thing that scares me most about the whole thing is not the prospect of some crazy guy coming and shooting up a crowd of people, as horrible as that is. That is an isolated, tragic incident ( Read more... )

I agree with you 100%. This once again reaffirms my belief that Republicans are BRAINDEAD. Seriously. For every time a gun is used in a home in a legally-justifiable shooting there are 22 criminal, unintentional, and suicide-related shootings. That right there says it all ( ... )

Also, if guns were banned and always had been, think of how less dangerous criminals would be. It'd be way harder to rob someone or hold up a liquor store or carjack someone with a knife or whatnot

This reminds me of the Robin Williams @ the Met sketch where he's talking about how Britain doesn't allow any handguns:

"In Britain, the criminals don't have guns and the police don't have guns. So when a cop is trying to apprehend a criminal, he can just say 'Stop! ... Or I'll say stop again!'"

Hmm, funnier when he does it than when I write it out. Odd, that.
