Tomorrow I am going to go around to some local gyms so that I can get some prices and see how great they are in terms of what type of equipment they have. I've worked too damn hard to lose all of the weight that I did and to look as great as I did. I'm slowly gaining back the weight I've lost and it makes me sick ( Read more... )

No one cares about anyone else at the gym! I guarantee it. You should give it a try sometime if you're not feeling too great about the way you look, or how you feel or whatever. Take a discman and your favorite cd and just go workout all of your stress. You'll feel awesome.

Good luck! I'm enjoying my gym so far. I'm hoping the really expensive part is what motivates me to keep up with it!

Also, mine has a pool and sauna and stuff, so I can reward myself with pampering when I'm done with my workout. That also helps motivate.

After you get used to it, you'll start to enjoy it and look forward to your workouts. You'll have days where you're just like 'eh, i dun wanna go' but for the most part, you'll end up loving it. Lucky for me I looooove exercising so I won't need any sort of motivation. I may in the first week getting back on track, but afterwards it should be okay. I'm glad it's working out for you. You'll be pleased with your results I'm sure. Just give it time. You'll feel great and look great and it'll show. :D

Yeah, even though when I start out some days I think to myself how much I'd rather go home, after an hour or so I don't want to stop. I had to remind myself to go home last time. :)

Now I have an mp3 player so I can bring metal with me to listen to, which is only going to help.

Nightwish was one band that I listened to a lot while working out.

my gym is pretty good... decent equipment, sauna, steam, and eucalyptus rooms, hottub and pool, tanning, a protein shake bar, and the classes are free with memberhship (yoga, step, kick boxing, aquarobics, etc) decent price too.... $24.99 a month for 48 months... the only thing is that you have to have the payments drawn out of your bank account. without it you have to pay extra. it is pretty much on the border of spfld and east longmeadow on main st. its called century fitness... i havent found a website for it but the number is (413) 525-8800 if your interested in checkin it out... oh the treadmills and bnikes and stuff have tv monitors built in. you just plug in your headphones and watch some tv while you work out.
