If you're in Ohio, that makes sense. But no Minnesotan's vote will be meaningful to the question of whether Trump becomes President. To come anywhere close to winning here he'd basically have to sweep the rest of the country ( ... )

I see your point, but still shudder at the recommendation. You can't count on any conventional wisdom this year, including "Minnesota will always go blue." Minnesota was one of Bernie's biggest wins during the primary. If any state is likely to switch from blue to red due to angry Bernie supporters going rogue, it would be Minnesota.

Seriously, I think the only reason to vote for a third party candidate is if you really don't care which of the two major candidates wins. I've only done that once, and in retrospect I wish I hadn't.
