I so love posting polls. Asking people questions and getting to provide the answers is the best. And sometimes it results in interesting conversations! Not even necessarily involving me. I love that.

I think spending time casually but wholeheartedly talking with people is just about the best thing in the world. I think polls can be a little quick way of doing that sometimes, though of course sometimes they're quite trivial, but they're definite (as in: concrete), too, which has value, and can I think sometimes get to deeper places more quickly.

Sometimes providing the frame for conversation is far more important than what the nominal "purpose" of the frame is. Freewheeling without being overly so.
