Actually, it turns out that Amtrak can't get anything right.

So I posted back in January about changing my tickets coming home from Boston on the Boston to Chicago leg of the train. Amtrak had a bedroom price online that was lower than what I had paid for a roomette and so I called up and changed my tickets. Try calling back and going through the same routine with a different agent who does have a supervisor?

*sigh* assholes. yeah, call back, get a guy with a supervisor and an operating number. they should give that to you before you ask, but ask if they don't. it's amazing how little crap trained monkeys will give you if they know you can report them to higher authority.
