I AM SO SCREWED!!!!

As a favor to a friend I was asked to help out and make a few pieces to put up for this art show. I pretty much had a week to kind of think on this and make and I donʻt have mat boards and I am so outrageously fucked right now. AUGH ( Read more... )

Sorry to see you so stressed out! I wish I had some magic words to help you find calm. Can I just scream along with you?? Might make us both feel better!

Thanks for the well wishes and screaming along with me. :)

Your icon aptly describes how I was feeling and basically what I was doing.
The the heavens above I found my solution.

Oh dear, I'm so sorry to hear that this art show has you all stressed out! Were you able to find a matte board in the morning and the other items you needed? :( It's never any fun when something becomes overwhelming--I hate being in that stressed out, panic mode. :o *hugs*

Well I didn't find exactly what I was looking for, but I found this lovely frame from Wal-Mart of all places and it worked FANTASTIC! :D So amazing how new solutions pop up in the oddest of places.

I was panicked all the way until the show started. I even arrived late because my friend and I had lunch late. (It was delish though, Vietnamese food, yum. ) >3<

*hugs*

I arrived out alive, well, and with smiles. :D
The opening went great and I think all the positive energy you all have been sending helped out a lot. I read these and felt immensely better. :)

Oh, your icon for this post, is that your work? I'm curious now as I am a former/future artist myself. Liked imagined landscapes and worked with pastels then watercolors. Now investigating software that mimics traditional media and then I'll be doing character portraits for my writing projects.

While I am flattered and dearly wished it was so, sad to say it is not.
I haven't really posted any of the things I've painted, drawn, or mixed media work online...shy. Hahaha.

However these are some photos I took when I needed to zen out for a day. Most of the photos was while I was in my car, ahahaha, I know terrible thing to do. But to justify my risk (misplaced adrenaline craving) I just wanted to keep shooting and not take my finger off of the shutter.

AWESOME! Well, I have been wanting a Wacom Tablet for the eons and I have talked myself in and out of purchasing one. You might want to look into it. :)

Nice, I like the upper blurred one with the orange/earth tones, the ballerina is really nice as well, good composition on that one, these are both suitable for framing (I hear WalMart has frames). :-)

Mmm. Those were from a friend's dance performance. She allowed me into the dress rehearsal and I had to get creative without flash. I didn't want to scare the little girls dressed up as butterflies. Imagine the horror, I take a shot, SNAP FLASH, and startle a child and she stumbles, oh the Mama Bears would have devoured me. Haha.

Yes! Now I know exactly where to go to purchase some. :D

Ironically, these photos are the only ones I have left from this shoot. In the typical fashion of myself, got all worked up to make space on my laptop on deleted them all thinking I had them on my external hard drive. Ach, well I guess that's why they say to double check.

*EDIT* I FOUND THEM!!! :D All of the photos were hidden away within a folder that was residing within a folder.
