I am young, creative, and aspiring. I want a partner who is generally the same, optimistic, and looking for a writing partner. Not just a friend who enjoys to write, but someone I can have more of a working relationship with. I don't want to collaborate; this is different. I want someone who plans to be published on their own, but perhaps needs the input of another without the cost of a professional editor.
I want to be able to edit your work, and I want you to edit mine. I want there to be a creative energy, and chemistry between us. I want to inspire each other.
I am very serious about my writing goals. I plan to have my first novel published by the time I am 30. (A large time-frame, I know, BUT) I am currently 20, but age is not very important to me. I want someone who I feel right about working with, above a similarity in style/genre/etc. The only real necessary thing is that they live in the greater Vancouver area. We could just correspond via the internet, but the opportunity to meet at some point in the future would probably benefit us both.
As far as money goes, I offer a bond of goodwill and friendship until any actual cost/profit starts arriving. Then we'd have to work something fair out.
I have to say I've never done this before, but I feel so close to writing something amazing and I just can't do it alone. I'm going by my gut, here, and I'm hoping I find someone.
Oh yes, and this has been cross-posted.
