I'm going to VidUKon! I think! At least, I've registered now (registration closes this Sunday incase anyone else is as absent-minded as I am). So I should find out where the con actually is exactly and where one can get accommadation in the strange land of CARDIFF and how to get there

I'd like to go to VidUKon one year. Sounds right up my alley. Apart from the bit where I'm normally far better at procrastinating than actually getting vids finished... ^_^

Wales is lovely. Cardiff is a great city. There's loads of places to stay, both in the city centre and near the bay. Sadly one of the best places we ever stayed at, a lovely little b&b built into the entrance of Cardiff Castle, closed not long after we stayed there, but there's always basic Premier Inns/Travelodge type places.

Though if that B&B was in the gatehouse, it's now a very nice teashop co-founded by Mary Ann off series two of The Great British Bake-Off.

Really? That's nice to know. For a while IIRC it became a dumpit ground for council supplies.

Thinking about it, I've not been to Cardiff for ages...long overdue a visit.
