This is just for my note. I think I saw this movie back in 2008 or around that time. But since this is one of the most unforgettable movies, I will submit my old time thoughts just not to forget ( Read more... )

Interesting movie it seems. I remember I discussed with my Christian friend before about the sin and forgiveness. My friend always feels it is unfair to be treated the same; the sinful and the innocent. Well, it always seems to me that god would rather side with the sinful than the innocent. After all, what's damaged is what worth salvage doesn't it. Here comes my cynical self...

Tusubasa!! I'm glad to see you again. Lj seems like it gets more and more dead each day but it's good that you still come here and check your friends' pages. Thanks for replying mine!

Hey you said nice thing once again! I agree. God woud rather side with the sinful than the innocent as you said, since they are the ones who should have been rescued long time ago before they conduct suchsinful things. However, the murderer had killed one but not only the victim, but behind the victim, there should be 4,5,6 or more than those family members such as mom, dad and siblings, friends, who are suffering from the tragedy. Their lives would be disfunction thereafter. So the murder cannot be forgiven that easily. The spiritual comfort is something they should not acquire that easily..IMO, at least more than 50 years of struggling they need to go through.. I am not talking about the practical things like how long they should be in prison etc. spiritual things. But anywayz, thanks for your comment!

Haha yea I still check lj everyday. And btw happy belated birthday. I saw your birthday post but forgot to wish you. I hope you had a good day (I'm not a big fan of celebrating own birthday either)

It's true parents and relatives suffer for what a murderer did. At the same time, I also feel for those who accidentally killed someone rather than intentionally. I'm reading this novel called 13階段 and it's intriguing in a way that it explores the boundary of a victim and an instigator. 手紙 by 東野圭吾 is also one of my favourites. If you havent read them, maybe you'd like to check them out. :)

Tsubasa, 東野圭吾is one of my favorite authors, but I haven't read it yet. Yea! it seems that this is the most recommendable book to understand the family members of the offender's side of view. I'll read it then. Thanks!
