My calculus teacher assigned my class an extra credit project, but I don't know what to do... ;_; Any suggestions? something artsy that I can do by myself would be great... Just FYI, I'm horrible at calculus (and math in general)... so something easy would be nice....

Please help!!! I need the extra credit!!!

Thank you very much!

I'm in calculus AB. The project can be on anything we've learned. So far, my class has learned about limits, derivatives, related rates, optimization, etc. We're currently learning how to approximate areas under curves with rectangles.... So, pretty basic thigs...

My teacher said that I could even make a song about one of the derivative rules or something... but I'm horrible at singing, nor do I play an instrument... ^^;

Can you do a short paper on the history of calculus? The Newton-Leibniz rivalry, something like that?

Other ideas:

Write a poem (songs, after all, are poems set to music) about a rule, or use a pre-existing song and write new lyrics about a rule. We had one like this in my AP Bio class when I was in high school, a song about photosynthesis that could be sung to either "Auld Lang Syne" or the theme from Gilligan's island ( ... )

I love your ideas for poems and storybook projects - I am going to steal them and use them in my calc classes if you don't mind :)
