I'm terrible at checking my messages on here. Normally I rely on the email coming through, but I had 32 messages to plough through, and look what I found!

I've been nominated for a Children of Time Award! Me! For my first proper full length Torchwood fiction! It was the one I wrote for reel_torchwood based on the Stepford Wives. I'm under the nomination

I haven't read your fic (I'm not doing anything for the next few days so that will be changing) but if it's as witty and enjoyable as your journal then the nomination was well deserved indeed.

I'd highly recommend it - it's brilliantly written, with enormous attention to detail, frequently absent in many fanfics... the characterisations are spot on, the humour is dry and witty and there is also action, tension and suspense - not to mention the many wondrous wardrobe changes .... it's not just a re-write of Stepford Wives, but a tribute to that film from a Torchwood persepctive ... trust me, I've read it all, and this is excellent :-)

Oh well done. Which category? I can't find you there! Maybe it's not updated yet. It's actually a great way for your story to be read by more people as people read all the noms before voting. I always like the fact that it gives me more to check out.

I really enjoyed the process of that one, it was great fun and I love the story. I learnt through it as well, especially that thing of being distracted by shiny things and what to keep and what can be dumped, I think that was really interesting.

Thing is Cal, put Ianto in leather and you can't lose.
