What purpose does it serve, or is the candy the only point?

For children, it's usually the dressing up and the candy.

For adults, it's usually dressing up and the parties.

It's mostly the passing on of a tradition.

Parties?

A tradition, I see. Thank you.

Ah, is that what it is? That would explain why Sultana mentioned looking for costumes.

Yes. I'm helping out with it... chaperoning children. I figured I may as well know something about it.

I see. It sounds like a fun day, it's been too long since I've celebrated any holidays. Perhaps I'll dress up as well.

Speaking of dressing up...I saw something while I was wandering across town that I thought you might like. It's...certainly different, the clothing style here is nothing like what I've seen before. But I thought you might like something to change into, so you don't have to wear that armor all the time.

Dress up? I was just going to wear the armor.

I- Thank you, Teresa.

That'd be it.

It's a very odd idea for a holiday.

I hear it's based on some old human tradition about "scaring away evil" or somethin' like that.

Yes, I saw as much, also. An odd concept, but not surprising.

Yeah. I mean, there's more to it, but that's the main reason a lot of people celebrate it.

I see...

This place has much that my home does not.

Clare.

It took me longer than I expected. This method of communication is still rather new to me.

[aka: my email notifications suck. D:]

It is rather odd, I understand.

I heard you were here. How are you... settling in?

[ooc S' no problem :D]

Hm. It will take some adjustment. It would be sad if a Claymore didn't have the ability to adapt quickly.

What of you, have you "settled"?

I figured it out quickly enough; I have faith that you will do the same.

Well enough, yes.
