Sir Husband and I are moving to Edinburgh tomorrow morning. The past week has been a packing bonanza. It's just one of those situations in which all of the loose ends fall into place at the very last minute.

I'm not quite sure why it feels like such a big move. Edinburgh is closer to London than San Francisco is to Los Angeles.

Hm.

I survived my tonsillectomy! It's been 12 days now, and I'm definitely starting to approach normalcy as far as my energy levels go. The pain is negligible at this point; it's no worse than a sore throat ( Read more... )

Husband and I spent the afternoon picking wild blackberries in the cemetery at the bottom of our hill. The thunderstorm that soaked London for the previous two days left the air smelling delicious and fresh. Since we didn't have a basket, we put the berries into Husband's bowler.
