2016’s Year In Reading

As is my custom, I keep an Excel spreadsheet of all the books I read, and add them up at the new year, and publish the list here.

As is my more recent custom, I don’t tell you the names or authors of the books I read for work, as a number of them may not be published (or even announced) yet.

I think WAKE OF VULTURES by Lila Bowen. I'd never heard of her before and got a copy through NetGalley. Knocked my socks off.

It's a difficult question when you don't keep a list, as if your memory's like mine you only remember the recent ones:). So with my apologies to anything I read earlier and forgot, my favourite recently has been the first of Freda Warrington's Aetherial Tales series Elfland. It's a rare fantasy I finish as apparently I'm quite princessy and easy to disappoint, but I enjoyed her unusual take on a well-travelled subject. I'm reading the second one at the moment and am liking that even more ( ... )
