how exactly do YOU define collage? to you is it just stuff glued on something? what about if you cut up pieces of paper and glued it to make a picture? or would that be mixed media artwork? i have really great ideas for the craftster challenge #6 http://www. ( Read more... )

thanks. i'm just really confused about if my idea will even be considered collage. like a while back you had posted a link to a guy who does portaits out of pencils, candy, chewed gum, etc.
is that considered collage. because i'm using trash it doesn't really have that great of images on it, so i was going to cut out shapes and glue them together to make say a woman. each piece would represent a different layer of hair. do you think that would count or am i thinking too outside the box? i do that a little too often.
