That player with dumb luck is going to get screwed over later on. So sue me, I felt guilty ahead of time.
Oh, and the reason I know he's going to get his *** pasted against the wall is because he's going to do something stupid like shoot a certain "Attack-me-and-die" villan for which there will not be a death safety-net to catch him...his character will die.
Even if he does do the smart thing, Fate will not roll in his favor from now on, no matter what the dice program turns up with--Dumb luck can be over-ruled by the GM if deemed to happen far too frequently.
In as many aspects as possible, my ideal is thus: Balance is achieved by duality (good and evil, lucky and cursed, good rolls and horrible rolls, etc) on its own...or by authority of the GM if it is left unbalanced for too long.
