Day Two: Favorite movie

"Leave it to the Catholics to destroy existence."
-Serendipity

This is one is easy. My favorite movie hands-down is Dogma. I have seen it so many times, I can probably quote it verbatim, but it never gets old for me. It's just so damn funny. It's probably the lapsed Catholic in me, but I love the not-so-subtle nose- ( Read more... )

I don't want to scare you but i think i love you a little right now.

Barely anyone i've ever talked to has heard of Dogma let alone ,seen it, so i guess i'm a little over happy that there is someone i know, in some sense at least, who knows of it's awesomeness!

I completely agree with you on the angel rants in spn mirroring Bartelby's, i like to think the spn writer's watched it and took notes. :P

Yay! Another Dogma fan! :)

I swear, when I was first watching the scene between Uriel and Castiel, I paused it and yelled, "Hey! That's Bartleby's line!" and then proceeded to flail helplessly. I'd love to think that the SPN writers are paying homage to Kevin Smith and his awesome movie by the dialogue they give their angels. :)

You've made me miss Dogma so much it's starting up right now on my DVD player. ^___^

And YAY DOGMA! That movie is so amazing on so many levels (yes, i do think ti's got to do with the lapsed Catholic thing - I'm one too). I'm so glad someone not only has seen it, but they love it too! XD That movie does not get all the love it should.

Yay! Hope you enjoyed it! :)

Oh, it's totally the lapsed Catholic thing. I think one of my favorite lines in the movie was Serendipity's comment about Catholics: "I have issues with anyone who treats faith as a burden instead of a blessing. You people don't celebrate your faith; you mourn it." It's so damn true. *sigh*

Oh, you really need to see it! It is sooo good. I've got it saved to my computer, and I would totally send it to you, but it's a pretty big file... if you know of a way that I can get it to you, let me know, and I'll do it. :)

I haven't heard about the movie, but I saw the first few minutes of it in the embedded video you put in this entry, and I think it may be quite fascinating. I'm going to ask my movie-obsessed schoolmate if she doesn't have it by chance. : )

Are those two fallen angels the main characters of it?

Oh you'll love it! :)

Bartleby and Loki are two of the main characters, but it's really an ensemble cast. The two of them are trying to go home, and the Metatron (the angel in my icon) sends a woman and the 13th apostle to stop them. It's sooo good! :)
